Your Season is Coming Soon

Six years ago this month; the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history took place.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of February, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #HOPE. The Bible says "hope deferred maketh the heart sick." What does that mean? The world oftentimes speaks of hope as wishful thinking, is this the same hope the bible teaches? Stay connected to learn more.

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and love the other.” Mat. 6:24

Hope February 7, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Six years ago this month; the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history took place. In an upcoming Daily devotional, I plan on speaking further about this, but no one likes to be on the losing side of the Super Bowl. Some people will be very upset about the final results. Six years ago the Atlanta Falcons faced the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 51 in Houston Texas. Fans of both teams believed that their team was going to give them victory. The stadium was mixed with people who had faith in the team they represented. The Falcons and Patriots had a battle! Some people insist that they like the New York Mets and the New York Yankees. There are others here in Florida that say they like the Florida Gators, and the Florida State Seminoles! Contrary to popular opinion perhaps; you either like one team or the other. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and love the other.” Mat. 6:24. Yes, even in a sports event! LOL!

At the beginning of the game, the Falcons had momentum. They had a comfortable lead and it appeared that the game was pretty much over. Even at the beginning of the third quarter, the game was going the same way it did in the first two quarters. But all of a sudden, one play which was a fumble, gave the team that was losing the battle some hope. They eventually made up a deficit that looked impossible to overcome! Life is like a football game, and in the game of life, there are four quarters as well. I call them seasons. Even in Florida, we have four seasons even though it doesn't always feel that way at all.

You've got to believe that your season is coming soon. When the circumstances in life are critical, that's your Super Bowl. The fourth quarter, or season if you will is the one that counts the most. It's spring and because you've planted His Word and watered it with hope; you're going to reap a harvest. It may look hopeless, but like in the Super Bowl, your victory is going to be that much sweeter because your hope is in the Lord! "Happy is He that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:" Psalms 146:5 What are your thoughts?
