You are Victorious!

We walk by faith and not by sight

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of February, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #HOPE. The Bible says "hope deferred maketh the heart sick." What does that mean? The world oftentimes speaks of hope as wishful thinking, is this the same hope the bible teaches? Stay connected to learn more.

"But I will hope continually, and yet praise thee more and more." Psalms 71:14.

Hope February 11, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday. It is the most-watched event on television all year long. People all over the world will be watching with the hope that their team is going to be victorious. The truth be told; there is going to be a large sect of people that are not going to be happy tomorrow evening by about 10:30 pm EST. That being said; most of those unhappy folks will still love their team and more than likely defend them when anyone has something negative to say about their losing team! It's commonplace to say: “we'll get them next year!" They say that because they have hope in a team that can only give them bragging rights for a season literally!

What about a God that you're guaranteed to be victorious with if you remain faithful? The cheerleaders cheer even when their team is trailing, and no victory appears to be in sight! They do it mostly because they have to do it! They go through interviews and no doubt their ability to smile and look content even though the outcome may not appear to look good certainly is part of the criteria to become a part of their team. The Bible says “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” Psalms 22:3. Well as a child of the King of Kings, it's your duty to praise Him; even when there appears to be no victory in sight. We walk by faith and not by sight. "II Corinthians 5:7.

Once you see yourself victorious in spite of the present circumstances you may be facing, you'll find yourself praising Him more and more. Especially amongst the saints in the House of God, and this event is free to praise, God! Like the Super Bowl, it's nothing like actually being there! "But I will hope continually, and yet praise thee more and more." Psalms 71:14. What are your thoughts?
