Have you ever seen the movie or watched the series about the superhero Superman? Superman was from another world and He came to Earth and was found by an earthly family. He was raised like a normal human being, but his parents were soon about to discover something amazing about him! The Bible says “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us; we pray you in Christ stead, be ye reconciled to God.” II Corinthians 5:20.
An Ambassador is a person sent as a representative from their home Country to a foreign Country, appointed for promoting a special assignment. Superman as a boy was stronger than normal, and could see through things that others weren't capable of. When the enemy shot at him, the fiery darts just bounced off. He became a mild-mannered reporter for a local newspaper. He looked like just an ordinary person, but we know better don't we? If you are a disciple of Christ; this world is not your home. You have been given a special assignment promoting the activities of a believer in Jesus Christ. You are spiritually stronger than the average person. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10.
The people in the world can't handle what you can handle, because they don't have Jesus Christ on the inside! When the enemy fires lies at you and other insulting shots; you handle them with ease. And yes you can see things that the world cannot detect because you have discernment of spirit. You're mild-mannered because that's what Jesus was and is today! You are a Superman or Superwoman in Christ that reports the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. You may not work for the Daily Planet newspaper, but you are appointed by God working for the Daily City in Heaven. Praise God! “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and -in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
