Where Will You Spend Eternity?

Eternity is the rest of your life, and every one of us is going to spend it somewhere

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of February, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #HOPE. The Bible says "hope deferred maketh the heart sick." What does that mean? The world oftentimes speaks of hope as wishful thinking, is this the same hope the bible teaches? Stay connected to learn more.

"It is appointed once for men to die, but after this the judgment:" Hebrews 9:27

Hope February 20, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

The subject of death is not a very comfortable subject to talk about. But the truth be told, it involves perhaps the most important question that can be asked in life. Where will you spend eternity? Eternity is the rest of your life, and every one of us is going to spend it somewhere. The Bible says “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:16. Years ago while serving as the Pastor of Anchor House Ministries we suffered a great loss. When anyone passes in this world; we always should immediately undergird the family with our prayers. The person who has passed doesn't need our prayers at this point. "It is appointed once for men to die, but after this the judgment:" Hebrews 9:27.

The question that should concern us all is: what would people say about you when you pass? Would they know without any doubt, that you were with Jesus? A person I met years ago knew another friend of theirs name George. George was a nice person, but he hadn't accepted the Lord during the time that my friend was in contact with him. She was always witnessing to him, and George would always tell her: " I will receive Jesus on my death bed. She eventually lost contact with George, and a few years later, she ran into a mutual friend who also knew George. She inquired about George and was given the sad news that he had died.

The first thing she thought about was what George had always told her. He had promised her that on his deathbed, he would receive Jesus. She asked the mutual friend: How did George die? The friend told her that he was in good health, but passed in His sleep. Why play Russian roulette with your soul? If you know Jesus as Lord, that's your hope. We all have a choice. "The wicked is driven away in His wickedness: But the righteous have hope in his death." Proverbs 14:32. What are your thoughts?
