When You Decide to Get Intimate With God He Gives You a Bundle of Joy

But because we have that hope and joy on the inside; we glow throughout this life.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of February, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #HOPE. The Bible says "hope deferred maketh the heart sick." What does that mean? The world oftentimes speaks of hope as wishful thinking, is this the same hope the bible teaches? Stay connected to learn more.

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13

Hope February 21, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

When a woman is pregnant initially she doesn't tell everyone about what's on the inside. She believes that there's a bundle of joy inside of her, but because it hasn't fully developed, she doesn't tell everyone about it. Soon everyone sees that she's doing things differently than she did before. The Bible says “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1. Because she doesn't want to hinder the hope of this joy. If she smoked prior to carrying this joy, she stops. If she drank alcohol that now ceased because it too could have a negative effect on her development.

Throughout the development stages, her face begins to glow more and more. Her appetite changes and she develops a different walk. She does all of these things because she has hope. There's a bundle of joy on the inside, and she believes that the world is soon going to be able to see the joy that's within her! “even the spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:17.

When you decide to get intimate with God He gives you a bundle of joy. That joy is the Holy Ghost. Because we want that joy to fully develop, we don't grieve Him by defiling our temples with drugs and alcohol. Throughout your life with Christ, you develop a new walk. Your walk is your lifestyle, and you're never the same again. Like a pregnancy, life may not always be comfortable. But because we have that hope and joy on the inside; we glow throughout this life. "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Romans 15:13. What are your thoughts?
