So many people believe that they're blessed by comparing themselves to other people. What they have and their accomplishments in life tend to support that claim. The large house, prestigious position, cars, and financial status speak volumes when it comes to success in this world. The Bible says “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36.
Some people will compromise their position on things for success. Some people will make false promises to get you to side with them. The Government years ago voted to change the definition of marriage in our country. Now there is Same-sex marriage. There are people in the Church who support the definition of marriage as defined by the government. These same folks say that they're blessed and highly favored. Jesus Himself said “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.” The Lord’s original plan for marriage was specifically for pro-creation. “And God blessed them. And God said to them. Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it” Genesis 1:28.
This was specifically referencing Adam and Eve. Only one man and one woman in Holy matrimony. In the Book of Mark chapter 10 Jesus addresses the husband as man and the wife as her (female). Mark 10:7, 12. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in Him." You're not totally trusting in God if you're willing to compromise your position on issues. As I have said many times over;” if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!” "What will a man give in exchange for his soul" Mark 8:37. What are your thoughts?
