“O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” Psalms 84:12

Blessed November 25, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

If you've lived for any amount of time in this world, I'll guarantee you that you've had some challenges. I venture to say that at some point you have entertained the thought of making changes in your life, and it was during some of those trying times. Life has a way of getting us to be willing to make changes to better the circumstances! Everyone has certain things that they desire. Some people desire riches, and others would be happy with a mate. Some people crave to be successful in life by holding a prestigious position. While some people would do anything for fame. The question I pose today is what is the most important thing to desire in this life? The Bible says “O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” Psalms 84:12. The eth is a suffix and a present participle of continual action. Some people only trust God for certain things and put a limit on His ability.

Our relationship with the Lord should be that the more that know Him; the more that we desire to know and want more of Him in our lives. Do you ever wake up and have a taste for something, and it's not in the house? You found yourself driving to Walmart or somewhere even a fast-food restaurant to satisfy that hunger. If you truly desire a right relationship with Jesus Christ that's the change we all need. He will satisfy the craving in your life that will permanently sustain you.

Remember the snickers commercial where a guy is acting out of character turning into Joe Pesci, but once he eats that snickers bar his conduct returns to normal? In the same way, “You’re not you when you’re hungry!” When you’re hungry your patience tends to get shorter and you get irritated a lot easier. Once you eat God’s Word you will develop a taste for it. The Bible says" Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." Matthew 5:6. The Word satisfies! What are your thoughts?
