Holy Spirit, March 19, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Have you ever read about the fruit of the Spirit? Fruit are produced by seeds that are placed in the ground. For those seeds to grow they have to be watered and as long as they remain under the power of the Sun, they'll grow! Now we know that natural seeds can never get from under that power. As for the rain; you've heard from that passage that” He sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." Matthew 5:45.

The Sun I'm referring to is the Son of God. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you have fruit in you, but they're planted in your heart in seed form. They have to be watered by faith, and remain under the power of the Son Jesus Christ! The question posed is: How do I know if that seed is growing? The Bible says "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." Mat. 7:20. God's Word is the most unique book ever written in the world. There's a reason why the Apostle Paul begins describing the fruit of the Spirit with love. For God so Loved the world is where it all began.

We've got to love both vertically, and horizontally as well! Everything that we operate in wherein God will get the glory always begins with Love. The other fruit of the Spirit can not develop until love becomes primary in our lives. The Bible says “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. I John 4:8. Love is giving of oneself for another one's benefit; even at your own expense! This is the agape love of Christ that only the Holy Spirit can give you for everyone. The fruit of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Galatians 5:22-23. What are your thoughts?
