In today's Daily devotion, we will discuss the need to wake up to the fact that everyone in the world is different. It is fascinating to consider that none of us have the same fingerprints. Additionally, each of us is born with distinct footprints, even identical twins possess different patterns that form their fingers and footprints. King David, the psalmist of Israel, acknowledges God's wisdom in creation, stating, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well" (Psalm 139:14).

Yes, you are indeed unique because God intentionally crafted you that way. You have been blessed with gifts that, contrary to popular opinion, God never takes away. As stated in Romans 11:29 “For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” This means that God does not change His mind and decide to take away your gift and give it to someone else. However, if you are unwilling to fulfill His will for your life, God may choose to use someone else in your place.

You may wonder about individuals who were once anointed to sing and performed well but can no longer sing like they used to. When considering this question, two individuals come to mind. One was a popular Christian Gospel singer in the 90s, while the other was known for performing secular music but occasionally sang gospel. Both were incredibly talented and regarded as some of the greatest singers in the world. However, it is evident that their careers, along with many other gifted individuals, were never fully restored. This raises the question: if God does not take away His gifts once He has given them, then who is responsible? As John 10:10a states, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.”

If you don't secure your car or home and it's obvious to thieves that you have something valuable inside, they will likely attempt to steal it. Similarly, we must be cautious about the thoughts we entertain and not allow ideas contrary to God's Word to deceive us. King Solomon, a wise writer, advises in Proverbs 4:23, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life." What are your thoughts?
