Today's Daily Devotional is about experiencing a spiritual awakening. Have you ever felt attacked by the enemy and defeated before even starting a task? Even in everyday situations, you may have felt overwhelmed, thinking, "This is too much. I can't overcome it. It's bigger than me. I'm outnumbered." Perhaps you believe in Jesus Christ and know what the scriptures say, but you feel that those promises apply to others, not to you. You acknowledge that God has the power to help, but it seems like He is distant and unlikely to grant you victory. It feels as though failure is inevitable. Does this resonate with you today?

You are familiar with religious phrases such as "He's Alpha and Omega," "The Rose of Sharon," "the wheel in the middle of the wheel," "The Lily of the valley," "the bright and morning star," and "Is there anything too hard for God?" Your response apparently in your case is yes! The reason is that there is spiritual blindness in your eye-gates.

In the Bible, there is a story about an Aramean king who discovered that the prophet Elisha could hear his plans to attack Israel. This revelation occurred because God was revealing these conversations between the king and the prophet to Elisha. The Aramean king planned to attack Elisha, leading to a surrounding of the city by a great army. Elisha's young servant feared their defeat. However, Elisha assured him, saying, "Fear not, for those with us are more than those with them" (2 Kings 6:16). Elisha prayed for the young man's eyes to be opened, and the Lord granted his request. Tomorrow, we will discover what the young man saw. This story reminds us that "we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). What are your thoughts?
