“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

On today's Daily devotional, we will be discussing the subject of waking up to peace. I often hear people telling me about the problems that keep them up at night. The irony is that they want to "wake up" from their worries, but they struggle to fall asleep. The Apostle Peter offers guidance in this matter, saying, “casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7). This scripture reminds us that we can give all of our burdens to the Lord in one go. We don't have to name each individual concern or gather them all together because the Lord already knows about them and is capable of handling them. The Lord never stops caring and noticing the “eth” in “careth” which is a present and continued action!

Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, has a unique and close relationship with the Father, and the Father grants the requests of the Son. This is why we pray in Jesus' name, as Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). To experience true peace, we must find rest in Him. Jesus assures us, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). Trusting in the words of Jesus Christ brings peace of mind, and we can find rest in His promises. This leads to a peaceful sleep, knowing that we are resting in His care.

We should seek the Lord's guidance in all aspects of our lives, including the challenges we face and the decisions we make. The Lord will guard your heart and keep your mind at peace. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” What are your thoughts?
