"And he answered Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them" (II Kings 6:16).

Today, we will conclude yesterday's Daily Devotional, which left us curious about what the young servant of the prophet Elisha witnessed. To recap, the Aramean king had discussions about attacking the king of Israel, but the all-knowing Lord was revealing these wicked plans to Elisha, the prophet of Israel. Elisha would then inform the king of Israel, warning him about these impending attacks.

Upon learning that it was the prophet Elisha who was revealing his plans to the king of Israel, the Aramean king sought revenge against Elisha. He positioned his forces outside the city where Elisha and his servant were stationed. The city was surrounded by a multitude of Aramean soldiers, chariots, and horses, instilling great fear in the heart of Elisha's young servant.

When fear tries to overshadow us, it is important to turn to prayer, just as Elisha did when his young servant expressed fear. Fear can be contagious, so it is crucial to guard against allowing someone else's fear to affect us. In response to Elisha's prayer, the Lord opened the young servant's eyes, revealing a spiritual host of God's heavenly army with chariots of fire. It was a powerful sight to behold, as this divine army outnumbered the opposing forces. "And he answered Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them" (II Kings 6:16).

Wake up children of God, we must view our circumstances through the eyes of faith. By doing so, we tap into the spiritual supplies and capabilities available to us. It is important to approach obstacles from a spiritual perspective, knowing that with God, we are always in the majority. “Remember the empowering words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." What are your thoughts?
