Yesterday, we began discussing the issue of waking up from a vulnerable position of believing in something that lacks truth. It is during our most vulnerable seasons in life that the enemy seeks to take advantage of us. As we mentioned before, difficult times often cause us to let our guard down and become convinced that something can remedy our problems.

Cults are designed to take advantage of vulnerable individuals, while false prophets and teachers manipulate the Word of God to deceive those who lack knowledge or discernment. It's important not to feel ashamed if you or a loved one have fallen into such traps, as many people who have discovered the truth have experienced significant growth and prosperity. Today could be your chance to open your eyes to the truth, so please take heed. As the wise King Solomon wrote, "Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not." (Proverbs 8:33).

Yesterday, we saw an example of a passage that has been misused by giving the wrong interpretation to vulnerable truth seekers. When Jesus told that His mother and brothers were outside, wanting to speak to Him, His response prioritizing His disciples was not a rejection of His family. Instead, it reflected His commitment to fulfilling His Father’s business at that moment.

Jesus was on His earthly mission and interacting with His family at that moment would’ve quenched the Spirit that He was operating in. This can be likened to a pastor preaching and being interrupted by someone informing them that their mother is outside the church, seeking a conversation. Such an interruption would hinder the flow of the Holy Spirit. As the Bible wisely advises, "Quench not the Spirit" (1 Thessalonians 5:19). What are your thoughts?
