Have you ever had news that was so good that you couldn't wait to share it with others? As a matter of fact, the news might have been so good that you were willing to share it and continue to talk about it as long as they were willing to listen. I remember when the New York Mets were down by two runs in the tenth inning of game 6 of the 1986 World Series. This was my dream to be at that game, and I got to work the game and got paid for working on the Shea Stadium Special Police Task Force. I would've paid them to allow me to work the game and watch my team, but to actually get paid, I realize was grace. I got a fellow officer name Officer Valerie Lake to switch tours with me so that I could work the game. The Bible says"Delight thyself also in the LORD, And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalms 37:4.
I couldn't purchase a ticket because it was sold out and would've paid handsomely for it, but God's favor was on me witnessing and sharing His Word with anyone who would listen. This was God's grace that He extended to me the way the whole thing worked out. The Mets were down to their last out and if the game ended like that; the Boston Red Sox would be the World Champions. I literally stood there in my police uniform praying for a miracle, and one hit after the next followed, and then the famous ball hit by Mookie Wilson that went through the legs of Bill Buckner happened, and the rest is history. I even had a brief stay in the Mets Clubhouse after they won it! I have shared this victory story many times over the years, with many people, but I have an even better victory story than that one that I have been willing to share with anyone who will listen. The conclusion tomorrow if its the Lord's will! It's just like the prophet says. I can't keep this to myself! "But His Word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay! Hallelujah! Jeremiah 20:9. What are your thoughts?
