Have you ever thought about why we as human beings wear belts? There are several goals that we achieve while wearing it. For one, we want to present ourselves in an orderly manner. We want to look good; having the proper belt on will certainly contribute to that. But the objective here is to keep your clothes for falling off of you! Even if they're hanging down you're probably exposing personal and private access. Like in the natural, it's the same concept in the Spirit. You are presenting yourself in an orderly manner. You indeed have it together, and you're not exposing yourself to the point of embarrassment! The belt is holding every other part of your outfit together. Without the belt what you are attempting to display will fall to the ground. That also would put you in a position wherein you’re continually trying to hold up what normally would remain in place because of the support of the belt.
In layman’s terms, the belt is your security blanket and it is part of your repertoire that keeps presenting yourself in a way that we certainly appear to have it together! When speaking about spiritual weapons, the belt is vital. The belt speaks of God's perspective on a matter. If you're in the midst of turmoil; what does His Word say you should do? In the midst of a trial; what is the Spirit saying? You're being tempted in an area of life; tighten the belt by getting deeper into the Truth! "Thy Word is Truth! God's perspective is always the correct one. Just like a deodorant that's put on after you bathe to keep the cleanliness in place. You are sealed with the right Guard! No! Right God, praise God! “Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth” Ephesians 6:14. What are your thoughts?
