"Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come!" Psalms 102:13

Joy January 4, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Each of us has either come out of a trial, presently in one, or we're more than likely entering into one in the future. Trials are designed to cause us to lean on someone who has the ability to get us through them. We also learn life lessons as our faith is strengthened by them. The loss of a loved one, a relationship, or anything that we value, can be difficult to deal with. Some people try to hold in their emotions. Others are very open in expressing their feelings when they're hurting. Regardless of whether you shedding physical tears or not; if you're mourning over a situation that's holding you hostage; you need someone to deliver you. The Bible says "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. “ Psalms 30:5.

In other words, the weeping or downtime is just for a moment. It's only for a season, and we know that seasons don't last forever. There are five seasons in the world today. but sadly not enough people know about the fifth one. Most people know about Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. What they don’t know about is the due season! The Psalmist speaking about his faith in the Lord delivering His people said” Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: For the time to favor her, yea, the set time, is come!” Psalms 102:13.

Joy doesn't just come; it's continuous! If you have Jesus Christ on the inside, you have Living water constantly flowing. The Bible calls it "rivers of living water." Now that's a lot of water, isn't it? It symbolizes the power of the Holy Spirit. This is where the Power comes from to give us the assurance and strength to get through whatever we face in life! Jesus said to the woman at the well ”but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:14.
