There’s No Justification For Lying

When You are Not Truthful, You are Operating Under Demonic Influence

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of June, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on The Truth. You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. Does the truth set you free or make you free? Learn the difference by following and reading this month's devotionals.

"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior. Given to hospitality, apt to teach” II Timothy 3:2

Are there any people that you met that you simply question everything that they say to you? More than likely it’s because of their track record. They have established a reputation to be known as a person who doesn’t tell the truth. Unfortunately, I have known some people that if you didn’t know their name for a long time; you would question if the name you have known them as is legitimate. You can look directly at them doing something, and they will swear that they didn’t do what you just saw them doing. Sadly, some people do not realize that they are operating under demonic influence when they are not truthful.

Jesus says “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44. Every time you lie you are under the influence of the enemy and there’s no justification for it. Some people in their minds appear to be getting away with not telling the truth about things and lying become a natural attribute. The more you draw closer to Jesus Christ; the more that you will be prone to be honest about everything.

You will not even be untruthful about people who are very close and ear to you, and this is because of the conviction of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Promised comforter and He convicts us of sin. When the Lord returns to earth He will prove to those who try to justify living in sin and deceiving themselves that they are in error. Jesus says “And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.” John 16:8. What are your thoughts?
