This Daily Devotional is dedicated to my dear friend and Brother, Tony Samad! Tony was not just a close friend, but a true brother to me. In an ideal world, we would never have to experience even a moment of separation. Thankfully, there is a friend who will never leave our side in this lifetime! Jesus assures us, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter that He may abide with you forever" (John 14:16). The Holy Spirit is not a mere force; rather, He is a constant presence in our lives. Tony once shared with me that he had no fear of death and had no problem with it.

The Holy Spirit is a person who dwells within those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He serves as our unwavering guide, available to us at all times, ensuring we stay on the righteous path. A Pilot that we can rely on 24/7, unlike a mere co-pilot we turn to in moments when we feel disoriented; because our lives are twisted upside down. The Prince of Bel-Air was good, but the Prince of Peace is better! As I made my way to Church, I noticed the Church's water dispenser, which I had recently refilled, sitting on the passenger seat beside me. The illuminated seatbelt indicator reminded me that it was not fastened, a clear sign that the water dispenser was detected. At that moment, I recognized it as a gentle reminder from the Lord that the Holy Spirit accompanies me wherever I may go.

Although the Holy Spirit is not visible to the human eye, His presence is undeniable. To reunite with Tony, we must allow ourselves to be filled. We're like inflated balloons with no life in us until we're filled with helium. Our natural air will not take us beyond the sky! However, the Holy Spirit's power surpasses even that of helium. We can have confidence that we will see Tony again, for as long as Jesus Christ reigns as Lord in our lives, there is no reason to fear. Jesus Himself assures us, "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled" (John 17:12). What are your thoughts?
