The Temptation to Feel Isolated and Alone in Our Challenges

The enemy aims to weaken our faith and discourage us from seeking God's help.

For the entire month of August Powerzone ministries will be diving deep into the topic of temptation. What exactly is temptation? We'll be exploring what it means and what the Bible has to say about it all Month long!

"There is nothing new under the sun."

In today's Daily devotional, we will conclude our discussion on the temptation to believe that no one else has experienced or can understand what you are going through. It is important to remember that whatever difficulties you have faced, the Lord is fully aware of them, and He has the power to strengthen you through them. The enemy tries to deceive us into thinking that our struggles are unique because it undermines our trust in God's ability to deliver us from them. The enemy aims to weaken our faith and discourage us from seeking God's help by making us feel isolated and alone in our challenges.

When I was in elementary school in New York years ago, we went on a trip to the Empire State Building. At that time, it was the tallest building in the world, standing at 102 stories. We were allowed to go all the way to the top floor. I remember looking down from there and realizing that everything that seemed big on ground level appeared small from up there. This is similar to how God, who sits high and looks low, perceives the issues that seem so significant to us.

When the three Hebrew boys were bound in the fiery furnace, the Bible states that when King Nebuchadnezzar looked in on them the next morning, he saw four men walking around freely. The king asked, "Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king" (Daniel 3:24). When you know that the Lord is with you during life's trials, you are not just comparing, but soon to be sharing that you were once bound but now set free! Hallelujah! "He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." (Daniel 3:25). What are your thoughts?
