The Temptation to Believe That You Will Never See Your Loved One Again

Dedicated to my mother, Mable Bing Clark.

For the entire month of August Powerzone ministries will be diving deep into the topic of temptation. What exactly is temptation? We'll be exploring what it means and what the Bible has to say about it all Month long!

The Bible says, "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41).

This daily devotional is dedicated to my mother, Mable Bing Clark, who would have turned 92 today on Earth. Our discussion will focus on the temptation to believe that you will never see your loved one again. I want to be honest and say that I do not know or desire to do things any other way than that. Not everyone is going to Heaven. I need to make it crystal clear that God does not send anyone to Hell either. The only reason Hell was created was for the devil and his followers, known as minions. The Bible says, "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41).

God never intended for man to go to Hell, but because the devil and a third of the angels that were in Heaven chose to follow him, they too chose to join the devil in the lake of fire, which will be their final destination. Beyonce had it right when she said "To the left" because that's exactly where those who do not receive Jesus as Lord will go. Anyone who does not receive Jesus has chosen to be set in their ways and therefore chooses to join the devil and the fallen angels in Hell. That is the judgment of God, and all worldly possessions will indeed be left behind. Money (filthy lucre), sexual immorality, drugs, etc., will be consumed by fire at that time.

My mother was a person who passed through this world for a short time. She loved all people, including friends from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. She never treated anyone differently, including those who were gay. I mention this because God does not condone any sin, but we are commissioned by God to love the sinner while not condoning the sin. My mother consistently displayed that love before us all. Would the love she showed be enough to get her to heaven? We will discuss this major topic further tomorrow. Jesus says, "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again" (John 3:7). What are your thoughts?
