The Prince of Peace: In the Millennium, Jesus Christ will rule with wisdom, power, and the unique peace that only He

In today's daily devotional, we will be discussing the power of the greatest name, Jesus Christ, and His title as "The Prince of Peace." We have previously discussed the prophesied attributes of Jesus as stated by the Prophet Isaiah. These attributes are "Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, and The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6). This promise assures us that in the Millennium, Jesus Christ will rule with wisdom, power, and the unique peace that only He possesses.

The reason this will happen is because during the Millennial Kingdom, the devil will be bound for 1000 years, and therefore, he will not be able to cause havoc on Earth. The chaos we see in the world today is a result of people not allowing the Lord to rule in their lives. As the Bible states, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh" (II Corinthians 10:3).

Even people who have received Jesus in their hearts can sometimes override what the Spirit of God is speaking to them when facing adversity. They may allow the enemy of our souls to influence their actions by resorting to earthly weapons. These weapons can include using profanity to emphasize a point, bringing up a person's past to use against them, intentionally provoking someone to anger, or causing physical harm to someone who has hurt them or someone they care about.

The Apostle Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” It is important to recognize that it is not the person who causes harm and hurt, but rather the enemy and his minions. Jesus, in John 14:27, assures us “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” What are your thoughts?
