In today's daily devotional, we will be discussing the greatest name, Jesus Christ, and who He is! There's no power greater than the greatest, and that's Jesus Christ! Speaking about the Son, the Bible says, ” Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they" (Hebrews 1:3-4).

In other words, the Lord Jesus Christ is equal with the Father as He reflects His light and is the exact likeness of the Father. He keeps the entire world with the Word, and after He accomplished His assignment here on earth, He now sits at the right hand of the throne. His assignment was to achieve forgiveness for your sins and mine. When we pray, the Lord Jesus Christ is in heaven at the right hand of the Father pleading our case. The Apostle Paul says, ”Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us" (Romans 8:34).

The reason Jesus Christ is the greatest attorney anyone can ever have is because He can relate to what everyone in this world has gone through. The Father's knowledge about man is intuitive. In other words, even though the Father is all-knowing, He never experienced being a man in the flesh. Jesus Christ became a man and experienced everything that we go through, and this is the main reason why He can identify with our concerns.

According to the Bible, He experienced losing loved ones, hunger, thirst, etc. ”For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15). And there's a bonus. He has a special relationship with the Judge, which is His Father. The Apostle Paul says, ”For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). What are your thoughts?
