The LORD is My Portion

When the Lord truly becomes your all and all; your trust is no longer in limited abilities.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of February, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #HOPE. The Bible says "hope deferred maketh the heart sick." What does that mean? The world oftentimes speaks of hope as wishful thinking, is this the same hope the bible teaches? Stay connected to learn more.

"The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him." Lamentations 3:24

Hope February 22, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Has anyone ever told you that something you were believing God for; wasn't going to happen? You got the position that you craved for so long, but others said you wouldn't get it. The vehicle you so desired, but others said to settle for something else. The home that seemed only to be a dream for you to live in. Girl, you don't need all that, and besides, you can't afford it! You closed on it, and even got some additions at no cost to you!

I know a man who attended a University ten years ago, and the enemy said: you flunked before and you're going to flunk again! Why waste your time? Besides, technology has changed so much since you attended School years ago. It's all done by computer now. Power points, APA MLA, etc; you can't do this! The slogan: yes we can is totally apropos here! In less than 3 years he graduated with honors and remained on the Dean's list from the first semester until the last! The Bible says “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13.

When the Lord truly becomes your all and all; your trust is no longer in limited abilities, but you are now totally in His unlimited! Now, how was this tuition going to be paid? The young man didn't have a large enough income to pay it off. It was a tremendous strain to pay the student loan off every month. He prayed and held on to the hope for the Lord to divinely intervene. A financial blessing or however you do it, Lord, I'll be satisfied! It wasn't long after that when the news came that he received COMPLETE debt cancellation of the loan. This was nearly $30,000 in debt that was canceled! My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus' blood, and His righteousness! Hallelujah! "The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him." Lamentations 3:24. What are your thoughts?
