The most important relationship that exists in this world with another human being is marriage. The lifeline to marriage is communication. The reason God institutionalized Holy matrimony: marriage between one male and female, was to model what our relationship with Him should be like! “Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” Hebrews 13:4. If you're not communicating with your spouse regularly, you're going to incur problems in other areas of your relationship! How can you know that you’re on the same page without communicating with one another?
How can there be any order in your relationship without communicating with each other? The Bible says “Let all things be done decently and in order.” I Corinthians 14:40. How can you accomplish your goals in life when you don’t have any idea what each other’s goals are because of the lack of communication? “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” Amos 3:3. Our relationship with the Lord operates the same way. Prayer is our communication line with God! ”And he spake a parable unto them to this end that man ought always to pray and not to faint” Luke 18:1.
Don’t you realize that if you don’t communicate with God through prayer that you will faint, which means lose your heart? Oftentimes when people are facing trials in life; you'll hear them say: "All we can do is pray." Prayer is a powerful weapon, and the enemy and his staff will do anything to discourage you from going to God. Truth be told, that's the first thing that we should do in any situation to get the Lord to divinely intervene! "Be anxious for nothing," in other words pray before making a decision! If you want victory in your life, use prayer and believe it to be the powerful weapon that it is, praise God!” Be careful for nothing, but everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6.
