The Holy Spirit is the Pilot Not Co-Pilot

This Daily Devotional is Dedicated to My Daddy!

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of March, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the HOLY SPIRIT, the third person of the Trinity. Jesus said "I will pray the Father, that He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;" What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Stay connected to learn more.

”Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have, for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5

Holy Spirit, March 15, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

This Daily Devotional is dedicated to my daddy! Contrary to popular opinion; the Holy Spirit is not a force! He is a person that lives with those of us who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He is not the Co-Pilot that we rely on only when we feel disoriented; because our lives are twisted upside down. He is the Pilot that we rely on 24/7 to keep us on the right path in life! I was on my way to the Church and riding alongside me was the water dispenser that we have in the vestibule of our Church for people to get a drink of water when they’re thirsty. I had just refilled it with brand-new purified water and had sat it on the front seat of my car. The indicator light highlighting the seatbelt was not fastened was on. My seatbelt was fastened and so I knew that it was on because of the water dispenser sitting next to me. That was a reminder that the Spirit of God is with me everywhere I go. You can't see Him, but He's there! ”Even the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; For He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." John 14:17.

We are all vehicles that the Lord uses for His glory, and He is with us on the inside and will never leave us alone. My father was my best friend and my best man at my Wedding. I used to depend on him for everything, and when I needed him he would always try to be there to help me. He went home to be with Jesus 23 years ago today. He forsook me because of the limitations of our humanity. The Holy Spirit will never leave thee nor forsake thee." No matter how much a person loves you; nobody can do you like Jesus, and He will never leave you alone, because He lives in you, praise God! ”Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have, for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5.
