The Holy Spirit is the 3rd Person in the Trinity

God never takes back anything that He gives us; including His Holy Spirit.

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of March, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the HOLY SPIRIT, the third person of the Trinity. Jesus said "I will pray the Father, that He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;" What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Stay connected to learn more.

The Apostle Paul adds “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30

Holy Spirit, March 3, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

There is a reason why the Spirit is always capitalized in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. The Holy Spirit is the 3rd Person in the Trinity. He resides in all believers and equips us with supernatural enablement to represent Christ here on earth. In the Old Testament, the lowercase is used because the Holy Spirit didn't dwell inside of men then. He only hovered over a select group of people in the Old Testament. Prophets, Kings, and Priest were anointed by God in the Old Testament with the Holy spirit which simply represented His power. There was an enablement given by God to them to perform certain tasks.

Only this select group of people had access to this power from on High. I was told by a person who had the title of Pastor years ago advised me that the Holy Spirit will leave you when you sin. If that information was valid then it would make Jesus Christ's own words inaccurate. Jesus Himself said “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,” Ephesians 1:13.

And the Apostle Paul adds “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Ephesians 4:30. This is a permanent seal that cannot and will not be broken, because this is Christ's Spirit. Yes, David had that concern because the Spirit didn't dwell within him. God never takes back anything that He gives us; including His Holy Spirit. Today everyone has the opportunity to be filled with the Holy Spirit. One of the attributes that you receive when being filled is Holy boldness. That boldness can override the spirit of fear that attempts to stop us from being the most effective witnesses for Jesus Christ. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Psalm 51:11. What are your thoughts?
