Love December 14, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

Have you ever known someone who nearly everyone they meet that they have a problem with them? Now they know nothing about the person, but they just get a bad vibe about them. The old adage begins to kick in; "The first impression is a lasting impression." They’re suspicious of nearly everyone’s motives! Some people have a suspicious nature about others because of past hurts that they have suffered. They put up defense mechanisms because they don't want to be put in a position to be hurt again. If I think negatively and anticipate the worse, then I won't be disappointed if they let me down. This is the thought pattern that the enemy tries to sell, and in this life, business is booming!

The Bible encourages us not to look at people negatively and if we discern something is not right with a person we are to immediately pray for them. The Bible says “If a man says, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? In other words, we can trust a God who we have never seen, and yet not trust someone who until proven differently we are suspicious of them. We automatically assume that a person for that we have no evidence or obvious proof that their motives are not legitimate; judge them falsely.

That often happens because a person may remind you of someone who did have a hidden agenda. This is wrong every individual in the world has their own unique DNA, and they are different! When you are operating in Love, until proven different, you will never entertain any negative thoughts about a person. It may look bad and not appear to be favorable, but love says let's believe God that it's not true. “Charity thinketh no evil.” I Corinthians 13:5. What are your thoughts?
