"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Love December 12, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

The four loves of the Bible are eros, phileo, storge, and agape love. The first three love's we have discussed in detail. These three love's all have something in common. They are all conditional because they're contingent upon what someone receives in the relationship.

The agape love is the Divine Love of God. It is unconditional Love. Love is giving of one's self for another one's benefit, even at your own expense. This is the Agape Love of God. It looks for nothing in return. Isn't that what Jesus did for us? Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.

The Agape Love suffereth long and is kind. It envieth not, avengeth not itself, and is not puffed up. This love is the only everlasting love because it's the Lord. It is a unique Love because it is the one Love that never fails! I Corinthians 13:8 What are your thoughts?
