When you wake up in the morning: what is the first thing that you do? As a disciple of Christ; it's a good practice to acknowledge the Lord and thank Him for your early rising on another day. Most people would like to believe that everyone bathes if at all possible before they leave their homes. No one wants to leave their home without washing up because they don't want to send off a foul odor! Spiritually, we need to wash every morning before we leave our homes so that we don't send off a foul odor as well in God’s nostrils!

Reading God's Word is what will help us clean up a wrong disposition before we face the world every day! Now we can dress ourselves. Who wants to put on clean clothes and what's hidden from the world is not clean? Putting on underwear that has not been washed I’m sure would be very uncomfortable. I believe that every step that we would make wearing unclean underwear would remind of that they’re not clean. You will certainly not have peace of mind knowing that germs and unwanted dirt are now clinging on the inside and that’s even if others couldn’t see it.

In the same way; the soul is the real person that people can't see. Your mind, will, and emotions. Your personality and individuality as well are a part of your soul which is the inner man. Spending that time with the Lord early prepares us to face any obstacles that the enemy may place in our paths for that day. That's the weapon of preparation, praise God! The wise writer King Solomon said “I love them that love me; And those that seek me early shall find me. What are your thoughts? Proverbs 8:17. What are your thoughts?
