Today, we will be discussing the optimal time for your personal devotional with the Lord. It is important to acknowledge that each individual operates on a unique schedule that may differ from others. Some individuals follow a regular nine-to-five work routine, while others may start their day earlier. There are also those who work in professions such as law enforcement or the medical field, which often involve rotating schedules. Occasionally, individuals may choose to work four days a week for twelve hours each day.

Additionally, there are individuals who work night shifts, commonly referred to as the graveyard shift. It is crucial not to overlook individuals who are homemakers or currently unemployed. Regardless of our work hours or personal circumstances, the Bible unequivocally emphasizes the best time to dedicate to our devotional time with the Lord.

God speaks through King Solomon in Proverbs 8:17 saying, "I love them that love me; And those that seek me early shall find me." Here, the Lord expresses His desire to answer the prayers of those who seek Him early. This seems to guarantee that our requests, after spending time with the Lord, will be honored. However, the question arises: what does the Lord mean by "early" when people operate on different schedules?

What if I work nights or find it challenging to have dedicated time to call on the Lord, read my Bible, and have quality time before dawn? I venture to say that God is all-knowing. "Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the creator, fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding" (Isaiah 40:28).

Yes, there is nothing that God doesn't know or has not already considered, utilizing the knowledge that only He holds. Tomorrow, we will further explore what God means by "early." "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33). What are your thoughts?
