Peace is Being Content in The Midst of a Storm

You can't have peace until you have joy in your heart!

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of March, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the HOLY SPIRIT, the third person of the Trinity. Jesus said "I will pray the Father, that He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;" What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Stay connected to learn more.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27

The fruit of the Spirit are love, joy, peace. Peace is being content in the midst of a storm. Unless you have put your trust totally in the Lord; it's difficult to not try to handle your own problems. You can't have peace until you have joy in your heart! We are creatures of habit, and when we have been accustomed to reacting as opposed to responding to a problem; it's difficult to change. Doesn't it seem like the circumstances are taking too long to turn around? Why should you change your mindset and trust anyone else? Yet you're still up most of the night. Why? We don't like to be still! We feel like we need to do something and most of the time that something comes with worrying! The Bible says "Be still and know that I am God!" Psalms 46:10.

Whenever the Lord is involved in whatever issues that we experiencing there is always a peaceful resolution to it, and He knows how to use it. The Apostle Paul says "God is not the author of confusion, but a God of peace, as in all churches of the saints."I Corinthians 14:33. A good chef doesn't want another cook in the kitchen while they're preparing a meal. God is up to something great in our lives and He doesn't need us interfering with it. Once we have peace with God; we need the peace of God. We want our lives and the decisions we make to be pleasing to the Lord!

When we are in the right standings with the Lord; in other words our relationship with Him is right; we have the peace of God. You have that liberty to freely make your request be made known unto Him, and have no doubt that He hears and will answer you. That’s perfect peace, praise God! “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27. What are your thoughts?
