Order My Steps in Thy Word

How do you think God feels when we mess up His order?

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of May, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will explore the most vital subject to discuss, and that is The Word! The Bible says "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword," How does that apply to our daily walk?

"In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: But he that refraineth his lips is wise.” Proverbs 10:19

Most of us have been out to eat at restaurants with a lot of other guests. The waiter or waitress seems to almost always get everyone's order correct. Did you ever wonder: how were they able to do it? I've never really inquired, but it's obvious to me that they have a system that they use and a certain order that they refer to. One thing that none of us like, and that's when our order gets messed up. It's an honest mistake, but it's an inconvenience; especially when you already had to wait! You might say you're good, but you know you're hungry! The Bible says "Order my steps in thy Word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me." Psalms 119:133.

How do you think God feels when we mess up His order? That's why we need to pray this Psalm and especially the latter clause. Iniquity is passed down sin which is specifically: generational curses. Some examples of this are incest. Some people have given into fleshly desires to have intimate relationships with people to who they’re bloodily related. This is a sin that will often is passed down to the next generation and can continue down a spiral. Promiscuity and asexual are contrasting spirits but when a person has been sexually abused in any manner; it can catapult them to be promiscuous or not having any interest in intimacy at all.

The latter can be passed down by simple negative words about what someone experienced with the opposite sex and that all men are bad! Such phrases as (There are no good men out there, men only want one thing, and they are just dogs!) and this can be very disheartening information being passed down from one generation to the next! And this is absolutely not true. You do not have to be a product of your present or former environment. You're a new creature in Christ, and the Word says so. "In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: But he that refraineth his lips is wise.” Proverbs 10:19. Praise God!” What are your thoughts?
