"Oh satisfy us early with Your mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Psalms 90:14

Joy January 27, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Everyone has a special testimony that we all should share if we choose to. Over thirty years ago I was taken to the emergency room in the Bronx. I was very sick as I had inhaled a toxin that nearly killed me. My oxygen level was so low, that the nurse took it over again, and it was worse. I literally was dying. The Bible says “I love them that love me, and those that seek me early shall find me” Proverbs 8:17. Yes, the Lord was there and I sought Him!

The doctor immediately had me put on 100% oxygen. I was a law enforcement officer back then and a fellow officer was summoned to the hospital to pick up my gun, which is normal procedure. After he arrived he began telling me that I was the talk of the hospital and I was in pretty bad shape. Thanks for the encouragement pal! ”For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Prov. 23:7. "Oh satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days." As I lay there I was praying and I truly never doubted that God would heal me.

You see I had prayed early though prayer is like a spare tire for some people; It's only thought about when you're in trouble and can't move forward! It was God's mercy that was extended to me that day because I was more concerned about being accused of insubordination than my health. Mercy is not getting what you do deserve! They actually admitted me to the hospital as my dad and fiancee now wife entered the ER. A miracle was soon to take place as my breathing returned to normal in 3 hours and I was released the same night! Now, who do you think was rejoicing and will never forget is mercy? "Oh satisfy us early with Your mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Psalms 90:14. What are your thoughts?
