"An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin." Proverbs 21:4

Love December 24, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

Have you ever known people who have accomplished things in life, and their personality suddenly changes? A person who had always appeared to be humble now has a head as big as a watermelon. Some people begin speaking differently than you have been accustomed to hearing them speak. "Where did you get the French accent from; you know you're from Georgia!" Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility. Proverbs 18:12

The person with the new wheels now looks down on others who are driving a used vehicle. The family who now have purchased a new house, and now is looking down on others that may not be able to afford one at the time. How about the friend or familiar associate who's constantly flashing her engagement ring around and questioning when are you going to get yours? An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. Proverbs 21:4

The person with a beautiful voice to sing, or someone who can play a musical instrument with ease, and brags about it. The Preacher is articulate and purposely embarrasses another person who perhaps isn't gifted quite like they are. "Love vaunteth not itself." Love doesn't brag about its accomplishments. It doesn't make others feel beneath them. No, "Love is not puffed up!" 1 Corinthians 13:4 What are your thoughts?
