Love December 23, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

TIt doesn't make the flesh feel good seeing someone else with something or someone you desire. You may see someone driving a vehicle that you always wanted to own. You see a family moving into a beautiful house that you so desire to live in. Oh yes, and the man or woman who you look at and wonder; how in the world did they get him or her? What!

The man appears to be Denzel Washington, Shamar Moore, and the Rock all in one. The woman is a combination of Beyonce, Kerry Washington, and Halle Berry. How could someone else have them? You don't wish anyone that has what you want well. Don't you know that if you "delight thyself also in the Lord, and He will give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalms 37:4

To be envious of someone is a dangerous thing. To be jealous is bad, but to be envious is worse. The reason being is that an envious person wants the very thing that another person has. They have so much ill will toward the person, that they would do anything to have what they have. "Love envied not." Love is happy for the person with the vehicle, house, or spouse that appears to be so wonderful. When you love, you wish nothing but the best for others who are blessed. "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up," 1 Corinthians 13:4. What are your thoughts?
