"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Jeremiah 17:9

There are two minds at work in the world. The carnal mind reacts according to what it feels. The Spiritual mind responds to what God's Word says. If the carnal mind is offended; it feels bad and will react accordingly. The Spiritually minded person might get offended, but the response is always peaceful. The Bible says “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Roman 8:6.

Dr. Chuck Swindoll said that “Life is ten percent of what happens to you and ninety percent of how you react to it.” This is an excellent analysis as so many people who road rage are angry before getting behind the wheel and then take their anger out on other motorists who are not the reason they’re initially angry. Technically speaking there is a hidden spiritual issue with the person who is angry and the enemy and his staff know what to do to flame the fires of rage! God's Word says "If it be possible, as much as lieth in you; live peaceably with all men." Romans 12:18.

You are not responsible for how people treat you, but you are accountable for how you treat others. People who operate in the flesh look to get even with their enemies, but Spirit-led people will love them! Matthew 5:44. Do you realize that kindness can be a weapon? A person who is raging can only argue with themselves but for so long. The Bible says" a soft answer turneth away wrath: But grievous words stir up anger.” Kindness diffuses it. To win a person who is always cold toward you may be a long process. If you are kind to them regardless of how they treat you; it will slowly break them down. Just like heat on ice; the fire of God's Word will melt their cold heart." It's like heaping coals of fire on their head. That's how you "overcome evil with good." That's a great weapon, praise God! “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21 What are your thoughts?
