With God All Things Are Possible

It’s been quite a few years ago now since my niece celebrated her 21st birthday. The reason that it's a more than special birthday for this young lady, is because her parents were advised not to have her. You see she was born artistic. When she was an infant, my brother and his wife at the time were told that if they decided to keep her, she would probably die within a year. For nearly one year, they would have to watch her constantly during the night as they were advised she would stop breathing at some point, and turn blue. They were obedient in following the doctor's advice, but were believing God for a miracle at the same time. Medically speaking there is no way that a child born with special needs such as this should survives! The Bible says “With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27.
This child not only survived, but she has brought joy to everyone who has been in her presence. She praises the Lord all of the time. She has won awards and done well in her classes in school and achieved things that it was thought she could never accomplish. She dances for Jesus and is anything but ashamed of her God! Like the character George Bailey in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life," suppose she was never born? The lives that she has impacted including my own are unmeasurable. The great thing about it is that she is a living testimony and doing what the Word of God says “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16. I'm so glad that my brother's hope was in the Lord. Keep your hope in the Lord! "Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God." Psalms 146:5.
