”Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them” Ecclesiastes 12:1.

Blessed November 5, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

I was in Walmart several years ago now, when I saw a young man who looked familiar to me. I said hello to him and he spoke to me. As he continued to stare in my direction, I heard the young lady he was with advising him that I use to be her neighbor. I approached the young man again and at that moment he advised me of who he was. I immediately recognized him as he shared with me that I had him play a security guard in a play I wrote nearly 20 years ago. He was a little boy then maybe about 6 years old, and he still remembered that.

He was like a little child again as he shared with his girlfriend about how I had him playing that part in the play. There was a sparkle in this young man's eye as he described what he did in the production. It obviously meant more to him as a child. The Bible says ”Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them” Ecclesiastes 12:1.

It’s such a joy you have started off young and serving the Lord. You never know how much of an impact something you may have said or done years ago can make on a child. A simple thing like allowing a young man to take part in a Church play is something that he never forgot, he even asked me to call his grandmother and pray for her as he addressed me with a smile and was so respectful. I was so moved by the impact that I had made on a child by allowing him to participate in Church. Certainly,” It is more blessed to give than to receive “ Acts 20 :35. What are your thoughts?
