It Can Be Very Difficult to Walk Away From a Fight

We should never allow our emotions to be our guide

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of March, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the HOLY SPIRIT, the third person of the Trinity. Jesus said "I will pray the Father, that He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;" What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Stay connected to learn more.

(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Numbers 12:3

Holy Spirit, March 28, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Sometimes it can be very difficult to walk away from a fight. It's especially true when it's a fight that you know you can win. They disrespected you or harmed someone you love. Now the opportunity presents itself for you to "handle it. The Bible says "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath; for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Romans 12:19. We should never allow our emotions to be our guide in any scenario because our emotions will lead us to a place that we do not want to go.

You may have a pair of hands that you've learned how to use well! The apparatus (The tongue) God gave us to praise Him with; you want to use it to give them a piece of your mind! It certainly would make you feel good cussing them out! It may feel good, but getting even with people is not meekness; it's now your weakness. Meekness is the fruit of the Spirit which means: controlled strength. In other words, you can beat a person down, but you don't. You have a mind and mouth that use to be ready, willing, and able to cuss them out, but you won't. You always had to have the last word, but now you can just walk away.

Moses was a warrior and he became a great leader in Israel, but he had a temper. God saw that there was greatness in Him, and He did a work in Moses. He called Moses the meekest man on earth; because He humbled himself. God sees greatness in you, and you can be used mightily by the All Mighty as well; praise God!”(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Numbers 12:3. What are your thoughts?
