Have you ever known people who seem to be able to drop a bad habit immediately? Yet, for others, it appears to be a long process. They too get free, but their deliverance doesn't come as quickly. On the other hand, some people desire to be free from addictions and old lifestyles, and yet they remain bound by them. What is the missing link? A baby that is born breached didn't start that way. It got turned around during the process. If it goes through the trimesters with its head first and facing down; there's pain, but deliverance. But when the baby turns the wrong way, there is pain, but no deliverance. The Bible says “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up!” James 4:10.
The baby’s head facing upward symbolizes pride in a person who has the capacity to know good from evil. Looking to the Lord to guide us through the delivery process is relying on His strength and not our own. When we refuse to humble ourselves; we'll go through a painful process, but because we're relying on our own strength; we'll struggle in our deliverance. The best weapon that we have access to is the power of the Holy Ghost. Jesus said, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5. The only reason that we have the enablement to get delivered from ungodly habits is by being connected with the power source, and that is the power of the Holy Spirit. Praise God! "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of Host." Zechariah 4:6. What are your thoughts?
