If you don't Stand For Something, You'll Fall For Anything!

You can't have peace without joy, and there's joy in the Holy Ghost!

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

Start this new year off right by exploring the word of God. For the entire month of January, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #JOY. Jesus said, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Revelation 3:16

People have different viewpoints on the Kingdom of God. One thing that I can assure you of is that external observations don't make you holy. Unfortunately, some people attend church every Sunday but don't represent Christ. Some regular churchgoers' lifestyles may leave you questioning their salvation. The Bible says, "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." James 1:8. In other words, they can never take a stand on a position or opinion about anything. If it's a Biblical concern, they will take the salamander approach and blend in with whatever they're around. Wherever they are, they will integrate it with a popular opinion or stand willing to compromise rather than stand out from the crowd. The adage is true "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!"

Attending church and not demonstrating the characteristics of a Believer in Jesus Christ is worse than not attending church. Jesus said, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Revelation 3:16. Warm water will not warm people when they're cold, nor cool them down when they're hot. The Lord says He can not swallow that and rejects it! Keeping it real, I know some people who don't attend church and are nicer than others who go regularly. Why?

The Kingdom of God is not truly there because Jesus is not on the Throne of their hearts! Remember where conflict, confusion, and chaos is, He isn't! "For God is not the author of confusion, but a God of peace, as in all churches of the saints." I Corinthians 14:33. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and where He resides, there is peace. You can't have peace without joy, and there's joy in the Holy Ghost! You can tell when a person truly has Jesus reigning in their heart. Their countenance tells it all. They'll be pleasant to be around. You're happy to see them come and sad when they leave. It's a joy to be in their presence because that's what they have!" For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost." Romans 14:17. What are your thoughts?
