Everyone in this world has something or someone perhaps that they hold on to in life that is very precious to them. For some people, their spouse is everything to them. Some people have their children ahead of their spouse as the most important relationship to them. But that is out of order and will be addressed perhaps in the future. We love our parents and always should honor them, but some people have their parents on a pedestal where they should never be. Even possessions in this world such as homes, vehicles, clothes, and jewelry should never be held in a place where they are prioritized over the Word.
Yes, the Word is the most precious Book ever created. Not only is the Holy Bible (The Word) the most-read book in the world, but last year it officially became the best-selling book for over 500 years and that began in Germany at an annual book fair. How valuable do you believe the Word is to God? Did you know that those in Government that has the authority to establish legislation or change it specifically the president; has a civic duty to study the Word? At least they certainly should if they are claiming to have a relationship with the LORD. The King during the Biblical times had more than a moral obligation to read the Word daily and to know the law!
The Bible says “And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests and Levites: and it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them” Deuteronomy 17:18-9. This is speaking about the leader of the land and in the present day, it is speaking about the President contingent upon what Country you may reside in. Nothing is more precious to The LORD than the WORD! King David says “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth; For thou hast magnified thy WORD above all thy name “Psalms 138:2. Amen!
