Holy, holy, holy!

This December, we're embarking on a special spiritual journey centered around the true reason for the season – our beloved Savior, Jesus Christ! Join us as we delve into daily devotionals dedicated to exploring the life, teachings, and profound love of Jesus.

"Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come" (Revelation 4:8).

In today's daily devotional, we will be discussing the greatest name, Jesus Christ, and holiness. Most people in the world today, I believe, recognize that Jesus is holy. In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John speaks about the four beasts praising God day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come" (Revelation 4:8). I believe that one of the reasons why it states "holy" three times is because each "holy" is symbolic of the periods noted in the passage.

He was holy then, He is presently holy, and He will always be holy! Hallelujah! A second reason why it is stated three times is because when you confirm anything, it is always done twice. In the passages where "Holy" is mentioned thrice, it signifies an above-and-beyond confirmation of Jesus Christ's holiness. So, how can we be holy like Jesus Christ? Being holy is defined by having a mind like Christ. The Apostle Paul says, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 2:5).

We know that Jesus' main objective was and is to be obedient to the Father. Jesus is not only the Word, but He is also the manifestation of the Word. We have to apply it, but He is what we all need to apply. You must read the Word and then, by applying it in your life, it makes you Christ-like!

The enemy's very thoughts have to become subject to the power given to us as believers through the Holy Spirit that resides in us. We take those thoughts captive and make them obey the power of Christ in us! The Lord takes vengeance on your behalf when you are obedient by not adopting the enemy's thoughts as your own! "And having in readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled” (II Corinthians 10:6). What are your thoughts?
