“ Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Psalm 24:3-4

Honor: October 19, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

Has anyone made an impact on you in life? Is there someone in your life that has been a mentor or an example before you? There are a lot of ways that a person can impact your life, but one that should be primary is spiritual. If you have a relationship with Jesus and He is Lord in your life; you need to be fed spiritually. That's why Pastors are so important. EVERYONE needs a Pastor for different reasons. The Pastor has the awesome responsibility of being your Under Shepherd. One of the reasons that we are called Under Shepherd's is because we too are under the Chief Shepherd. “The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want.” Psalms 23:1

If your Pastor is feeding you the Word, he should be honored. If he is taking oversight of the flock and your walk with Jesus; you should honor him. To me personally, it is imperative that the Man of God's hands are clean as he serves God's Spiritual food, which is His Word! In a restaurant, the food that is served is supposed to be USDA-approved. The United States Department of Agriculture provides leadership on food and related issues based on public policy. They give the best available effective management. The one preparing the food served must have clean hands to avoid making those eating it from getting sick. If their hands are clean, they certainly deserve to be honored.

We will discuss the things that the Pastor should be doing to truly be honored tomorrow. What are your thoughts?
