Honor Your Loves One Before it's Too Late?

Give them their flowers while they can still smell them!

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: And a word spoken in due season, how good is it.” Proverbs 15:23

Honor: October 15, 2022 By Dr. George Bing

How many of you have suffered a great loss in your life? Someone who is so dear to you and whose heart has been heavy. Perhaps even reminiscing about it now may be an emotional time for you and a little to deal with. I am led by the Lord to encourage those of you who have lost someone very dear to you, and you perhaps might still be struggling with it. Do you really want to be comforted when you lose someone close to you? Honor them while they're still here.

The worst thing I can do is give you swimming instructions while you're drowning. Sorrow, sadness, and secluding yourself from words that will strengthen you will only take you down. ”A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: And a word spoken in due season, how good is it.” Proverbs 15:23. If he were alive on this side today he would be over 100 years old now. My father was my best friend and the Best man at my wedding many years ago now. When I lost him I felt devastated and felt like how am I going to live without him. I am experiencing the Abundant Life even more since my father passed and one of the reasons why is because I continually honor him. I speak kindly of him and the fact that I gave him his flowers while he could smell them.

In other words I honored him while he was on this side. I am free in my spirit that I did that. I humbly encourage you "to do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10. Do it while you have the opportunity here. It's better to know now than to regret it later. Give them their flowers while they can smell them. I'm glad we did that for my daddy and other loved ones who have passed on before us. What are your thoughts?
