For the entire month of May, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will explore the most vital subject to discuss, and that is The Word! The Bible says "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword," How does that apply to our daily walk?

The Word was God and as we know he later became the God man and lived on this earth in a body of flesh for 33 years!

Have you ever thought about how the world began? Some people believe the Big Bang theory which states that the universe began with a big bang. Others are leaning toward Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity which has been given much credence, and recently another theory becoming popular is the core accretion model. It does work well to explain the formation of terrestrial planets which are the planets closest to the sun which include the earth. But there’s no explanation concerning large planets such as Saturn and Jupiter. The Word of God is inerrant and cannot be disproven. The Bible says “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1.

The Apostle John’s writings are known as the Selective memoirs because they are his personal knowledge and experiences and the Lord gave the Apostle John special insight as well. He highlights the most important events and information given to him in this life. The first thing that the Apostle John states in his Gospel is the Word (Jesus) was there from the beginning of time. Jesus technically speaking has no beginning or end because He has always existed. The Word was God and as we know he later became the God man and lived on this earth in a body of flesh for 33 years!

The Apostle Paul also acknowledges who Jesus is in many instances throughout the Word and he poses a question in Colossians and then actually gives us more information on Jesus' activities before He was given a body of flesh “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: for by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and in visible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.” Colossians 1:15-17. Yes, everything that exists was created by the Word! Amen! What are your thoughts?
