“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." Isaiah 59:19

Have you ever been pressured by people because you didn't want to go along with the program? The program just didn't appeal to you. Maybe it was years ago when some friends offered you alcohol or drugs. Maybe there was a standard that you refused to compromise. Maybe you just didn't fit in and were persecuted for it! To be persecuted is to be tormented continually for one's beliefs. In life, if you take a stand and live long enough, you'll learn that the majority oftentimes isn't right at all. You will also learn that you'll earn a lot more respect when you refuse to compromise. “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.." Isaiah 59:19.

This is what happened with the three Hebrew Boys. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image because only the Creator of all things who is infinite in power; complete in wisdom; absolutely truthful and perfectly holy: the Triune deserves our worship! The Hebrew Boys said,” be it known unto thee, O King, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” Daniel 3:18.

In other words, when you take a stand for God and you are tormented because of it, you'll be blessed as was the case with the three Hebrew Boys. Even your enemies can be blessed because of your obedience. After the Lord rescued the Hebrew Boys from the fiery furnace Nebuchadnezzar said” Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his Angel and delivered his servants that trusted in Him” Daniel 3:28. You and others are blessed, and you receive access to things in the Kingdom that others don't get. It's a master key that opens doors to the believer who refuses to displease God. The Bible says " Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:10. What are your thoughts?
