Have You Ever Been Crushed by Life?

What happens when the circumstances that you are facing are impossible to overcome?

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of February, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the topic of #HOPE. The Bible says "hope deferred maketh the heart sick." What does that mean? The world oftentimes speaks of hope as wishful thinking, is this the same hope the bible teaches? Stay connected to learn more.

"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted, within me? Hope in God: For I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Psalms 43:5

Hope February 9, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

Have you ever been crushed by life, and there was no one else in the world; that could identify with what you were going through? You could be in a crowd, and yet feel all alone. Your parents, peers, or even the prominent people you know couldn't help. You felt helpless, hapless, and hopeless, but you weren't giving up yet. You had no choice but to turn to Jesus, but if you didn't know Him, you would have fainted. The Bible says “I had fainted, Unless I believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. “ Psalms 27:13 David felt this way when he penned Psalms 27. He never lost his faith in the Lord! In times like these; you have to "encourage yourself in the Lord" as David said he had to do! ”And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters; but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” I Samuel 30:6.

What happens when the circumstances that you are facing are impossible to overcome? That's what the great preacher Andrew Wommack was facing in His life years ago. He and his wife received word that their son had died. As he was traveling in a vehicle to identify the corpse; he was praying and still holding on to a miracle as they traveled through the jungle. As they arrived at their destination and entered the place where their son lay completely naked; they saw his still body which had been dead for nearly five hours. He still had hope. Could God do anything in an impossible situation such as this? He's dead! "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted, within me? Hope in God: For I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Psalms 43:5. Don’t miss tomorrow’s Daily Devotional for the conclusion! What are your thoughts?
