Has Anyone Ever Committed to You and Not Kept It?

To some people, keeping their word is not a top priority!

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of May, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will explore the most vital subject to discuss, and that is The Word! The Bible says "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword," How does that apply to our daily walk?

“Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.” Ecclesiastes 5:5

Has anyone ever committed to you and not kept it? Have you ever been on the phone with someone, and they advised you that they're calling you right back and don't? Maybe you were told by someone that they would meet you someplace at a specific time, and they show up late, or not at all! How many people borrow money and don't pay it back? Some people in the world today will make appointments, and don't keep them. Unfortunately, some people simply don't have good moral values. To some people, keeping their word is not a top priority! This is wrong, and it's not the character of Christ! “Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.” Ecclesiastes 5:5

"My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips." Psalms 89:34. Whatever the Lord says, you can bank on Him to keep His Word! There is a difference between a contract and a covenant! A contract can be between two people who don't have a relationship with each other. It's strictly a business deal. A covenant is an agreement between two parties that have entered into a relationship together. What wonderful benefits we have when entering into a relationship with Jesus Christ, praise God. What are your thoughts?
