Grieve Not The Holy Spirit of God

Because the Holy Spirit is sensitive to sin

For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 1Chronicles 16:25

For the entire month of March, the Powerzone Ministries' daily devotionals will focus on the HOLY SPIRIT, the third person of the Trinity. Jesus said "I will pray the Father, that He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever;" What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Ghost? Stay connected to learn more.

Because the Holy Spirit is sensitive to sin, He will bring on a sick feeling inside when He is grieved.

Holy Spirit, March 12, 2023 By Dr. George Bing

One of the most terrible experiences that a person can have in this world is displeasing God. When a person is filled with the Holy Spirit; He will prompt you when you do wrong. As a matter of fact, the closer you get to God; the more sensitive the Holy Spirit is to sin. What does that mean? The Holy Spirit is always in tune with sin, but we're not always on the same frequency to pick up His signal. It's just like having your favorite radio station on, and you being out of the area where you can receive it! You have the correct station on, but you're not hearing what's being delivered to you! "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." Ephesians 4:30

Because the Holy Spirit is sensitive to sin, He will bring on a sick feeling inside when He is grieved. The Holy Spirit will send that vibe when you say something you shouldn't say! Even when something inappropriate is seen with your eyes or heard with your ears; the conviction of the Holy Spirit is experienced. He is your seal, and just like when a seal is broken on a fresh bottle of milk; it has to be recapped. Only repentance can relieve us of this feeling of grief and restore a right relationship with the Holy Spirit. What are your thoughts?
